Marco Laoreti is a Senior Consultant at Technopolis France, specialising in green transition projects.
With extensive experience in public sector consulting, Marco has worked with a wide range of international and European institutions since 2018. His expertise spans policy evaluations, impact assessments, policy implementation and project management, particularly in areas of climate action, transport, environmental policies, health and energy. Marco is currently playing a key role in the interim evaluation of the nuclear decommissioning and waste management programmes for the European Commission DG ENER, and is involved in field work in several EU Member States, including Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
In the past, Marco has cooperated in significant projects both in France and internationally. This includes the evaluation of France 2030 for Bpi France and the study on HR management for the African Development Bank.
He also contributes to EU initiatives, including assessments for DG CLIMA on climate action in various funding programs and supporting DG SANTE in revising EU legislation on animal welfare and food contact materials.
Before joining Technopolis, Marco served as a Senior Consultant at EY in Paris, consulting on public policy for various public sector bodies internally. His earlier roles include working as a Policy Consultant and Project Manager for COWI in Brussels, where he managed EU policy projects, and as a Transport Policy Analyst with TRT Trasporti e Territorio, focusing on EU transport policy evaluations.
Marco holds a Master of Public Policy from Hertie School of Governance, Germany, and completed an exchange semester at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. Fluent in Italian, English, German, and French, he is skilled in various statistical and content management software tools, enhancing his data analysis and policy evaluation capabilities.
