Bregtje Kamphuis is a Principal Consultant in Health & Life Sciences at Technopolis. Bregtje’s main areas of expertise are pharmaceutical policy and regulation, access to medicines, comparative health policy, health systems, sustainable healthcare financing, and evidence-based policy analysis. Her research covers all aspects of the pharmaceutical value chain from research and development, market access (e.g., pricing and reimbursement, health technology assessment) and patient access, treatment, and empowerment. Bregtje has published research reports and peer-reviewed articles on these issues in both innovative and generic/biosimilar medicine markets. She has experience implementing qualitative and quantitative research methods, including structured and non-structured interviews, surveys, Delphi panels, case studies, desk research and systematic/comprehensive literature reviews.

She has 12 years of experience of team and project management for research projects for international and European clients, such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as for pharmaceutical industry clients.

Prior to Technopolis, Bregtje worked at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London (UK) as an Associate Director in Health Policy at the Medical Technology Research Group (MTRG) and a Project Manager and Researcher at LSE Consulting. In both these roles, she conducted research, drafted reports and journal articles, and was responsible for the design, management, and delivery of research outputs for a variety of international and industry clients.

Bregtje has an MSc in International Health Policy (LSE), an MSc in Law, Anthropology and Society (LSE), and a BA in Liberal Arts from the University College of Utrecht. She is fluent in English and Dutch.
