Evaluation of the Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) – Foundation Stage

The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) is an international development fund designed to help research collaborate to build capacity in developing countries and to address the UN SDGs. It is funded by the UK Government and delivered by 13 delivery partners: the UK Research Councils, Academies, UK Space Agency, Innovate UK and the four devolved national funding councils.

This report contains the findings of the foundation evaluation of the GCRF completed by Technopolis and Itad. This consists of an in-depth process evaluation, the development of a theory of change and an evaluation framework to inform a full evaluation of the GCRF.
