Monitoring and evaluation framework for the Joint Programming Initiative on Neurodegenerative Diseases Research (JPND)

Publication date: 17 April 2015 | Report language: EN

The first Joint Programming Initiative Neurodegenerative Diseases, in particular Alzheimer’s Disease (JPND) has been launched in September 2010. This is a European Union member state led initiative to tackle one of the ‘grand challenges’ which faces EU society, namely that of neurodegenerative diseases. This button-up initiative brings together 27 European countries developing amongst others a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA). The initiative is supported by the JUMPAHEAD project, which is a coordination action that supports the implementation of JPND. This is a 2 million euro project that supports the research programming and the launch of joint calls. One of the work packages is to develop a monitoring and evaluation system for the initiative. Technopolis has been asked to support the Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw) to develop this package.
