Open Data, Research Data Management and EOSC

The Flemish Government asked Technopolis to draft the new Flemish Open Science Strategy, including a governance model, and an implementation strategy.

Particularly in green Open Access Belgium ranks among the top in Europe. However, an important finding of this study is that there is still a lot to be gained for Flanders in the field of Open Data and Research Data Management. An important assumption of Technopolis is that this is a problem and that Flanders threatens to miss the benefits that Open Data offers. With this advice we offer the Flemish government scenarios for a governance model for Open Data and RDM that prepares Flanders for the future.
