{"id":38856,"date":"2022-06-21T12:39:18","date_gmt":"2022-06-21T12:39:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/report\/how-can-govtech-help-modernise-the-public-sector\/"},"modified":"2022-06-23T09:21:22","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T09:21:22","slug":"how-can-govtech-help-modernise-the-public-sector","status":"publish","type":"report","link":"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/de\/report\/how-can-govtech-help-modernise-the-public-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"How can GovTech help modernise the public sector?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-red-color\">On behalf of the European Parliament, Technopolis, together with TNO and GNKS, investigated possibilities for developing an EU GovTech Platform and the further development of the European GovTech market, including engagement with citizens and businesses.&nbsp;<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research paper was commissioned to consider <strong>&#8222;GovTech and other innovations in public<br>procurement&#8220;.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper examines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the<strong> concept of &#8222;GovTech&#8220;<\/strong>, including GovTech ecosystems and some best practices using GovTech in Member State countries;<\/li><li>the concept of <strong>innovation<\/strong> in the context of<strong> public procurement<\/strong>;<\/li><li>the proposal for a <strong>European GovTech platform<\/strong>; and <strong>risks and benefits <\/strong>of these concepts and proposal, particularly for SMEs and citizens.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The use of GovTech is connected with <strong>three strategic EU objectives.<\/strong> These objectives provide the backdrop to this paper. The first is a renewed focus on <strong>digital transformation of public services<\/strong>. A second objective concerns the opportunity to <strong>develop the market in GovTech<\/strong>, with a strong focus on <strong>SMEs<\/strong>.
