{"id":33191,"date":"2021-10-18T14:01:36","date_gmt":"2021-10-18T14:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=33191"},"modified":"2021-10-18T14:01:36","modified_gmt":"2021-10-18T14:01:36","slug":"study-on-sustainable-and-resilient-eu-supply-of-medical-radioisotopes-shared-with-dutch-parliament","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/es\/new\/study-on-sustainable-and-resilient-eu-supply-of-medical-radioisotopes-shared-with-dutch-parliament\/","title":{"rendered":"Study on sustainable and resilient EU supply of medical radioisotopes shared with Dutch Parliament"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>The JRC study by our colleagues Chiel Scholten, Anoushka Dav\u00e9, Liana Petrosova, Andreas Ligtvoet and Geert van der Veen has been published:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, the Dutch government has sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijksoverheid.nl\/ministeries\/ministerie-van-volksgezondheid-welzijn-en-sport\/documenten\/kamerstukken\/2021\/10\/14\/kamerbrief-over-europese-studie-over-toekomstige-beschikbaarheid-van-medische-isotopen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">letter to Parliament<\/a> to inform its members on the results of <a href=\"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/es\/report\/study-on-sustainable-and-resilient-supply-of-medical-radioisotopes-in-the-eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">our JRC study on the sustainable and resilient supply of medical radioisotopes in the EU<\/a> . The results of the study are important for decisions of the Dutch government regarding investments in infrastructure to produce medical radioisotopes in the Netherlands. Our study shows an urgent need for new production capacity for medical radioisotopes to secure the supply for radionuclide therapy in the EU. The Netherlands has currently a strong position in the production of medical radioisotopes and is preparing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pallasreactor.com\/en\/en-pallas-van-levensbelang-voor-miljoenen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">build of a nuclear reactor<\/a> to produce such isotopes.
