Sam Slota-Newson is the Group Operations Director at Technopolis. During 20 years working for government, charities and the public sector, he has held leadership positions in both operations and project delivery roles. At Technopolis he leads the Group Management Team to support the group across strategy, operations, financial management, information management and HR – helping ensure all offices are well supported to deliver high quality projects for our clients.

Before coming to Technopolis Sam was Head of Operations at Integrity, a consultancy working on International Development with a particular focus on conflict. Alongside his operational role, he directed projects for the UK and US government focussed on regional stability and security and emerging threats to international security.

Conflict is an enduring interest for Sam, having seen active service with the British Army, studied and lectured on conflict at the University of British Columbia and delivered humanitarian programmes in conflict zones in Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen. He is particularly interested in how human security concerns can be better integrated into policy decisions to build sustainable peace and prosperity. Sam is a Trustee of the peace building charity Concordis.

Sam holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and a Masters degree in International Relations.
