Christian Erven MSc is a consultant at Technopolis Group in Amsterdam with a thematic focus on digitalisation and innovation policy. He has experience with evaluations on national and international programs encompassing subsidies, financing, and development tools, impact assessments and exploratory studies and is familiar with many research methods, including desk study, interviews, surveys, case studies, focus groups and workshops. Next to his role as consultant, Christian has a role in the business development team of the Amsterdam office as sales administrator. In this role he supports the entire proposal process from new leads to the submission process.

Recent studies in the core of his expertise include a EU foresight study on water scarcity, an evaluation of the Dutch national Covid-19 subsidy instruments (TOGS/TVL) and a study on the necessity and opportunities for AI in the health sector.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group in 2022, Christian studied International Relations and Political Consulting at Università di Pisa, after obtaining a master’s degree in Public Governance from Tilburg University and a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Safety and Security Management.

Christians native language is Dutch and he is fluent in English with a basic proficiency in German.
