{"id":30751,"date":"2021-06-17T14:46:30","date_gmt":"2021-06-17T14:46:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=30751"},"modified":"2021-06-17T14:46:30","modified_gmt":"2021-06-17T14:46:30","slug":"sdg-benchmarking-a-tool-developed-by-technopolis-group","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/technopolis-group.com\/fr\/new\/sdg-benchmarking-a-tool-developed-by-technopolis-group\/","title":{"rendered":"SDG Benchmarking &#8211; a tool developed by Technopolis Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ESPON EGTC, a European Grouping on Territorial Cooperation, has commissioned Technopolis Group, together with WAAT Ltd and the Social Progress Imperative (SPI) to develop and implement a <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/sdg.espon.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) benchmarking tool<\/a><\/strong> in the form of a web application that offers support to governments at all levels to achieving the SDGs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tool is aimed at policy-makers, in particular regional policy-makers, but also national policy-makers that want to gain better insight into the regional disparities and developments related to the SDGs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SDGs benchmarking tool is a simple, intuitive and user-friendly web\napplication that helps policy makers turn a large volume of indicators in\ninsights contributing to providing answers to questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Is my region making progress towards achieving the SDG targets?<\/li><li>Is my region lagging behind or leading in achieving SDGs compared to other similar regions?<\/li><li>From which regions in Europe can I draw inspiration to progress towards the SDGs?<\/li><li>Which regions would benefit from targeted support to help step up action to improve their progress and thus contribute substantially to the national progress on the SDGs?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The web tool allows the user to select a range of different indicators\nrelated to the 17 sustainable development goals. Data at NUTS 2 level are\navailable for comparing and benchmarking one\u2019s regions. The user can display\nthe distance to targets by indicator as well as track progress for each\nindicator along multiple periods in time. This can be done for all regions, but\nalso with a focus on regions similar to their own with regards to various\naspects.
