In particular, it focused on the funding partnership between the MRC and DIFD \u2013 through exploring issues such as the added value and the effectiveness of the operational, management and governance framework put in place by the funding partners &#8211; as well as the outcomes and impact pathways of the funded portfolio of projects. The review built on a variety of research and analytical methods, such as rapid evidence assessment, document review, Researchfish and other monitoring data analyses, a large multi-stakeholder interview programme, impact case studies and field visits to beneficiary site locations in Kenya, Malawi, Uganda and the Gambia.
