We are pleased to announce that Technopolis, together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (Fraunhofer ISI), has been commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) to evaluate the Directive for the Promotion of Sales for Electrically Powered Vehicles (Environmental Bonus Programme). The objective of the federal government’s flagship programme is to support the roll-out of electromobility in Germany and support the government’s goal of 15 million electric vehicles by 2030. The programme has a volume of more than 12 bn. euros and subsidises the purchase of electric vehicles, as well as chargeable hybrid electric vehicles. The programme is furthermore intended to contribute to meeting the government’s targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector.
