Technopolis Group

Improving the sustainability performance of state buildings

Publicatiedatum: 19 februari 2025 | Taal: EN

Technopolis Group is working with Trinomics on this project managed by European Commission’s DG Reform. This public report shares the results of a benchmarking and an in-depth analysis of good practices of public bodies responsible for central government real estate. The report covers a variety of topics, from governance, financing, operationalisation and collaboration.

The ‘Improving the sustainability performance of state buildings’ report aims to be a resource for practitioners, presenting an overview of the challenges and approaches to advance the sustainability performance of their building portfolios. This report was accompanied by a conference for public real estate bodies, and a workshop will also be planned with public real estate bodies to share final project results.

Technopolis is also translating these results into practice: under this project, we provide specific support for France (Direction Immobilier de l’Etat) and the Netherlands (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf) in updating their roadmaps for improving the energy performance and sustainability of state buildings.

We are leading on the in-depth analysis of good practices and on the specific support for France and Netherlands. While Technopolis FR and BV are more substantial contributors, this project also involves colleagues from Technopolis SE and DE offices.
