Veerle Bastiaanssen is a consultant at\nTechnopolis Group, based at the Amsterdam office. She is mainly involved in\nprojects on Green Economy and Life Sciences and Health. Veerle has an affinity\nfor policy research, and a background in both qualitive and quantitative\nresearch methods, such as stakeholder interviews, desk research, literature\nstudy, stakeholder analysis, data-analysis and workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Veerle has been involved a large variety of\nprojects at the EU, national and regional level. Currently she is the assistant\nproject leader on a study for the Province of South Holland on the innovation ecosystems\nsurrounding the bioeconomy in the province. She is also working on an\nend-of-grant evaluation for the Medicine\u2019s Patent Pool for Unitaid, for this\nproject she is leading the desk review and is heavily involved in interviews,\nanalysis and reporting as well. In the past, she has also been involved in\nseveral studies on the European level such as the European Resource Efficiency\nKnowledge Centre, a study supporting the EU Orphan legislation for the European\nCommission and the ex-ante Impact Assessment of the Institutionalized\nPartnerships for DG RTD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Veerle holds a Master\u2019s degree in Governance\nand Management of Complex Systems at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She\ninterned at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, where she was a part of the\nteam that designed the governance of the Dutch Energy Transition. Her master\nthesis was focused on governmental collaboration to replace fossil fuels in the\nheating of existing houses. Veerle has a bachelor\u2019s degree in Public\nAdministration and Organizational Sciences from Utrecht University with a minor\nin Journalism.
