The findings of this study are based on the information provided by 31 research funding organisations (RFO), 4 research performing organisations (RPO) and 1 organisation with a dual function (research funding and performing organisation) through a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The following questions have guided the study:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What approaches are used to assess and select proposals and researchers in a robust, fair and transparent manner?<\/li><li>What are the challenges that research organisations face during the assessment processes?<\/li><li>What are the current developments in the assessment of research proposals and researchers?<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The study was commissioned by Science Europe. Based on this Science Europe elaborated a set of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scienceeurope.org\/our-resources\/position-statement-research-assessment-processes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"policy recommendations  (opens in a new tab)\">policy recommendations <\/a>that can be used as a framework to guide the evaluation of assessment processes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","solution":[133],"sector":[70,118],"class_list":["post-24280","report","type-report","status-publish","hentry","solution-evaluation-nl","sector-higher-education-nl","sector-research-innovation-nl"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
