TUKFS is the largest coordinated research effort in the UK, providing unprecedent funding for food systems research. It is a \u00a347.5 million, multiyear (2021 to 2026) interdisciplinary research programme funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through its Strategic Priorities Fund (SPF). <br><br>The programme aims to transform the UK food system by placing healthy people and a healthy natural environment at its heart. The evaluation is being delivered over a four year period from 2022 to 2026 by Technopolis in partnership with ICF. The evaluation uses a theory based methodology to assess progress towards the programme\u2019s expected outputs and outcomes. <br><br>The findings presented in this report build on the baseline assessment, using data collected by the evaluation team between February 2024 and August 2024. The research involved surveys of project leads, project partners and CDT students; a series of semi-structured stakeholder interviews; and a document review. <br>The evaluation team also completed a document review, analysis of posts on the X social media platform, network analysis, and a detailed analysis of ResearchFish data submitted by the funded projects. None of the funded activities had finished when the report was first submitted (August 2024). <br><br>This report provides evidence of progress in the activities and outputs specified in the TUKFS programme theory of change (ToC).
