His background is in the Anthropology of Energy Systems and Governance, with specific interest in energy policy and people dynamics. He has experience in qualitative research both in the UK and internationally, developing expertise in interviews, surveys, participant observation, case studies, literature reviews, and general desk research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brendan has experience working collaboratively with public and private sector stakeholders, fostering strong cross-sector relationships. During his MSc, he carried out research for Durham County Council\u2019s Low Carbon Economy Team to assess electric vehicle infrastructure, usage and growth potential in Durham City. The research recommendations informed the council\u2019s <em>Chargepoint Delivery Plan <\/em>(2021).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Technopolis, Brendan was undertaking a PhD in Maritime Planning at Queen\u2019s University Belfast. His research explored power dynamics in UK marine energy conflicts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He holds a BA in Anthropology and an MSc in Energy and Society, both from Durham University. A recipient of the \u00d8rsted Energy Master\u2019s scholarship, his MSc dissertation investigated the effects of government-led decentralised solar home system (SHS) implementation on rural households\u2019 energy resilience in Msinga Municipality, South Africa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-60859","expert","type-expert","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
