Circular Economy is defined as an economy \u201cwhere the value of products, materials and resources is maintained in the economy for as long as possible, and the generation of waste minimised\u201d. In its \u2018Circular Economy Package\u2019 of December 2015, the EC wants \u201cto help European businesses and consumers to make the transition to a stronger and more circular economy where resources are used in a more sustainable way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the aims of this Package is to \u2018remove regulatory barriers for the circular economy\u2019. In this project, that already started before the adoption of the Package, ten cases have been selected on their potential for contributing to the circular economy before 2020 if one or more regulatory barriers would be removed.
