The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) will host a hybrid workshop titled Fostering SME Internationalisation Beyond the EU, featuring a presentation of key findings from the Study on SME Internationalisation conducted by Technopolis Group in collaboration with IPSOS.

The event will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 CET at the European Commission’s Breydel Building in Brussels (Avenue d’Auderghem 45) and will also be available online (via Webex).

Technopolis Group will present the study’s key findings, including recommendations for action by Member States and external organisations. This workshop is organised in response to one of the study’s recommendations.

The Study of the European Union SMEs Internationalisation Strategy, conducted by Technopolis Group, provides a comprehensive mapping and analysis of policy instruments at both the EU and Member State levels, designed to support SMEs in entering non-EU markets .

The study, aimed to identify potential for more coherence and synergies in SME internationalisation policy instruments, assess gaps in the available support schemes, and evaluate overlaps that may impact their efficiency. It also offers food for thought for future solutions.
