CILAC, the Open Forum of Sciences of Latin America and the Caribbean, is a regional space for debate and exchange. It is constituting a regional platform to discuss how to strengthen and implement effective science, technology and innovation (STI) policies in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030. The CILAC Forum will be happing virtually this year, from 26 – 30 April.

Technopolis Group will be hosting a thematic session for CILAC 2021 on ‘Urban digital transformation for sustainable growth and improved liveability’ on Wednesday 28 April 2021, 2:15 – 3:00 pm UYT (UTC/GMT -3). In this thematic session, we will explore the concept of urban digital transformation, as well as the underpinning policy implications from the perspective of local policy and decision makers. The presentation will draw on the experience gained through the European Commission’s Digital Cities Challenges (2017-2019), as well as on the currently running Intelligent Cities Challenge (2020-2022) project.
