Jonah Lenfestey joined the UK green economy team as an analyst in March 2025. He has cultivated an expertise in public policy evaluation and has developed a specific interest in environmental and energy policy. Jonah has acquired a variety of qualitative and quantitative analytical methods through his academic and professional experience, including interviews, literature reviews, statistical analysis and data visualisation.

Prior to joining Technopolis Jonah was a fieldworker for the States of Guernsey’s Household Expenditure Survey: collecting data which fed into the local Retail Price Indices and Household Cost Indices. Earlier, he was an intern at the Low Carbon Business Unit at Gemserv, working on administration of the Warmer Homes London Scheme, internal policy summaries, and research on international greenhouse gas accounting.

Jonah completed his Master’s degree in Data Science at Durham University, with a specialisation in earth and environment. His undergraduate degree in History, also from Durham, culminated in a dissertation on the passage and implementation of the 1974 Control of Pollution Act. Jonah is a native English speaker.
