Julia Prenzel is Senior Consultant for evidence-based policy advice at the Frankfurt office of Technopolis Group. Julia has eight years professional experience in international development cooperation with a focus on rural development and environment as well as monitoring and evaluation (M&E). She acquired and managed a variety of projects in these sectors in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia for several clients including the European Commission, the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), KfW Development Bank, as well as the Federal Foreign Office (AA). Julia successfully applied a range of methods such as stakeholder mapping, key informant interviews, survey, and literature reviews.

Right before joining Technopolis Group, Julia led the implementation of a BMZ-funded technical cooperation project on soil and water resource management for the Federal Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) in Cameroon. For several years she was part of a development consulting firm and completed a variety of assignments in the area of M&E, including the development of monitoring frameworks and qualitative as well as quantitative data collection and analysis.

Julia completed her M.Sc. in International Administration and Global Governance at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden and her B.A. in Political Sciences with a focus on international relations at the University of Mannheim. She is fluent in German, English, Spanish and French.
