Lath ESSOH is an Analyst & Policy Data Scientist at Technopolis Africa, the regional African subsidiary of Technopolis Group, based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. He is an economist and data scientist specialized in economic analysis, data science, artificial intelligence and evidence-based public policy, with a strong focus on development economics, public finance and health systems.

He has built solid professional experience working as a Data Scientist at Relyens GIE (France) and as a Consultant and Analyst within Technopolis Group, contributing to policy-oriented research, economic analysis and data-driven advisory projects for public institutions and international stakeholders. His work has involved economic diagnostics, quantitative evaluations, impact analysis and the development of analytical frameworks to support strategic decision-making.

Lath has contributed to projects related to public policy analysis, development programs and sectoral studies, combining econometric modeling, statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex datasets. He has worked on macroeconomic, territorial, socio-economic and health-related data, applying rigorous quantitative methods to evaluate policies, forecast trends and inform evidence-based policy design.

From a technical perspective, he has strong hands-on expertise in data science and applied econometrics, using Python and R for statistical analysis and machine learning, SQL for data management, and Power BI and data visualization tools to design dashboards and communicate analytical results to non-technical stakeholders. He is also familiar with AI-based models, predictive analytics, data processing pipelines and reproducible research workflows.

Lath holds a Master’s degree in Data Science for Economics and Business from Université de Strasbourg, a Master’s degree in Development Economics (research track) from Université Clermont Auvergne (CERDI), and a University Diploma in Medico-Economic Evaluation Methods from Université de Bordeaux – Institut de Santé Publique, d’Épidémiologie et de Développement (ISPED). He also holds undergraduate degrees in quantitative economics. He works in French and English.
