Sami Anouar joined the French office of Technopolis in April 2024, initially as an intern, and since October 2024 as a full-time employee, specializing in international cooperation projects.

Sami recently graduated with a master’s degree in Development Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, where he collaborated with AFD, the French Development Agency, to assess the efforts of Public Development Banks (PDBs) in meeting the climate objectives of the Paris Agreement. Using both quantitative and qualitative techniques, he developed an evaluation framework for the climate efforts of the 50 largest PDBs and analysed their green communication strategies.

Before joining Technopolis Group, Sami strengthened his economic expertise through an internship at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). As part of the team responsible for strategy and economic policies in the MENA region, he built a macroeconomic indicator database for several countries and contributed to public policy evaluation reports in response to the Covid-19 crisis.

Sami has lived and worked in Morocco and Egypt, developing thematic expertise on governance issues in fragile contexts, particularly during periods of political instability. He holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs and Public Law from the École Normale Supérieure (ENS Ulm). Fluent in French and English, Sami has an intermediate level of Arabic.
