Camille Hennion is a Senior Consultant for Technopolis Group. She has developed expertise in the evaluation of international development and the humanitarian policy and programming, with a focus on fragile and conflict-affected environments. Camille has contributed to evaluations, strategic studies and the definition of programmes and public policies for multilateral, bilateral and non-governmental institutions. She has applied successfully a range of methods such qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, case studies, desk research, literature reviews and political economy analysis. Thematically, Camille has specific expertise on fragility, governance and state-building, gender, protection and migration. 

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Camille has contributed to several programme and strategic evaluations for multilateral agencies such as the World Bank, the UNHCR, or IOM and for donors like DFID and DANIDA. Recently and for over two years, Camille directed the support programme to the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI), the independent watchdog reporting to the UK Parliament on the use and impact of UK aid money. In this role, she was involved in strategic work such as the review of UK aid to Syria or the review of the UK’s peacebuilding and statebuilding assistance to Somalia. She also managed a complex delivery programme supporting the Commission in delivering its mandate.  

For Technopolis, Camille is currently contributing to the evaluation of the Humanitarian Emergency Fund for the French Foreign Ministry and leading the evaluation of the past ten years of operations of the French development agency (AFD) in New Caledonia.  

Camille has worked for various international evaluation consultancies and in many countries including Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, DR Congo and Cote d’Ivoire. Camille studied History and Geography at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon, before obtaining her agrégation in Geography in 2009. She holds a Masters in Cultural Geography from the Royal Holloway University of London, a Masters degree in International Security from Sciences Po Paris and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics. Camille is fluent in French and English.
