Action plan to reduce animal testing in Flanders

In 2021, Animal Welfare Flanders, in consultation with researchers and organisations, launched a project aimed at reducing animal testing in Flanders. Researchers provided information and insights on opportunities for reduction during roundtable discussions. These inspired subsequent discussions with organisations that hold a key to influencing the number of animal experiments.
The project resulted in several new actions from the various, addressed organisations. You will find below these 33 actions, which together form the ‘Action Plan to reduce animal testing’, as well as the full report, as delivered by Technopolis NV.
