Boris Babic joined Technopolis in June 2026, after 5 years of experience working as an Environmental Economist. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the development of impact evaluation and appraisal tools, survey-based methodologies, cost-benefit approaches, and has conducted quantitative analysis used to inform policy relevant decision making. To each project, he brings extensive experience in statistical modelling, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), dashboard development, and a strong track record of translating complex data analysis into actionable insights for clients. He has experience working with both public and private sector clients.

As an economist, Boris has contributed to several evaluation studies focusing on environmental outcomes. He was involved in developing the Environmental Impact of New Housing Developments (ENHAT) tool, currently used as an appraisal tool in measuring social value of sustainable developments. He also has experience in working with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), with whom he measured the value of nonfinancial information, and corporate transparency.  Prior to joining Technopolis, Boris worked for eftec, an environmental economics consultancy based in London. During this time, he focused on valuing investments in biodiversity, water environment, and helped utility companies understand their customers preferences regarding environmental outcomes. He successfully completed a Master’s Degree in Economics from University College London (UCL), and holds an Undergraduate Diploma in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London. Boris is fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian.
