Patrick is an Analyst with a background in geographical sciences, urban studies, and spatial planning. He has experience in EU development cooperation, external action, and strategic policy advisory, supporting the design and implementation of European policies and projects in complex, multi-level governance environments.

His work is focused on EU-funded initiatives covering urban resilience, marine policy, and ecological governance. Patrick has developed expertise in policy analysis, institutional monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and political communication, helping public institutions and non-profit organisations navigate the European policy landscape and strengthen their strategic positioning.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Patrick contributed to the implementation of the Urban Agenda for the EU through the European Urban Initiative in Lille. In this role, he supported the operationalisation of the initiative, improved internal workflows, contributed to communication activities related to intergovernmental cooperation, coordinated GIS-related tasks, and advised on the application of EU urban development policies.

Previously, Patrick worked as a Project Officer at S&P Sahlmann Architects in Leipzig, where he monitored policy developments, advised on sustainability frameworks and innovative building practices, coordinated communication among project stakeholders, and contributed to the design and implementation of infrastructure projects. He also applied technical expertise in GIS, Python, and ArchiCAD to support planning and project delivery.

Having lived, studied, and worked across Europe, Patrick brings a strong international perspective and enjoys collaborating in multicultural environments. He is fluent in English and German, has a working knowledge of French, and is passionate about advancing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive policies. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and exploring new places, drawing inspiration from Europe’s diverse cultures and landscapes.
