We are excited to organise COSME’s Intelligent Cities Challenge (ICC). This 2.5-year programme will provide world-class support to promote technological transformation, build a green Europe and foster intelligent and sustainable growth in 100 cities across Europe. Cities and consortiums of cities can express their interest to take part of the ICC until 29 May 2020.

The Intelligent Cities Challenge seeks to help 100 small and medium-sized EU cities attain green, climate-neutral, sustainable growth while tackling the biggest urban challenges and improving the quality of life. It builds on the success of the Digital Cities Challenge, which helped 41 EU cities to create a strategic vision and roadmaps for digital transformation. Over the next two and a half years the ICC will focus on the concrete implementation of strategies, creating a common platform for open data, a marketplace for intelligent city solutions, joint investments and new support mechanisms, all while adding a more international dimension to the challenge

The ICC will promote the uptake of advanced technologies by providing world-class support in person, online, and through community activities. The 100 cities that are selected for the Challenge will be assisted through advisory services at the city level and for local stakeholders, field visits by experts, access to online tools and a marketplace for intelligent city solutions.

For more information about the challenge, the ICC concept note, and key dates, please visit the ICC website.

Help us spread the word

Help us promote the Intelligent Cities Challenge by getting the word out to your network, specifically those contacts who may be interested in applying such as city and local officials, local business organisations, etc. To make things easy for you, we have developed an ICC Media Pack with images and standard texts to help you promote the challenge.
