Technopolis Group

Technopolis Germany has been commissioned by the Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA) of the European Parliament to conduct a study on the threats posed by new and emerging plant pests.

The study examines how climate change and global trade increase risks for agriculture, food security, and the economy in the EU, and explores the scientific, technological, and policy options available and required by 2050 to effectively prevent and manage outbreaks.

Project Objectives

The study is intended for Members of the European Parliament and the STOA Panel, EU institutions and national ministries and authorities, as well as professionals in agriculture, plant health, and the bioeconomy.
