Kira Kotulska-Kozłowska regularly works with Technopolis France as an independent Associate Consultant since 2025. Kira is a Senior Sustainability Expert focused on delivering sustainability-related projects and developing sustainability/ESG service offering as part of projects and tenders with EU institutions, International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and private-sector companies. 

Kira has over twelve years of experience designing, managing, and delivering international projects at the nexus of sustainable development, environmental protection, biodiversity and nature conservation. She has recently served as Senior Expert in Environmental Economics for the European Commission’s assessment of the integration of financing needs for nature conservation across the EU27, analysing how Natura 2000 and Nature Restoration Law objectives are mainstreamed into 2021–2027 funding programmes and Recovery and Resilience Plans. Her work also includes leading biodiversity advisory assignments for major private-sector clients, developing Biodiversity Action Plans and assessing corporate value-chain impacts on Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs). 

Kira’s portfolio covers projects supporting the EU Water Framework Directive, environmental impact assessment (EIA) capacity building, and ESG due diligence and sustainable finance advisory in the context of project financing from International Financial Institutions (IFIs), ensuring alignment with international sustainability frameworks (e.g. SASB, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct, OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct, MSCI), EU legislation (e.g. CSRD, CSDDD), best market practice for biodiversity-related disclosure standards. 

She holds a Master’s Degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies/ Governance in the EU from the College of Europe (2011-2012), a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from the University of Warsaw (2010-2011) and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Warsaw (2004-2009) with a total of 7 years of university studies. She also holds PRINCE2 Practitioner and PM2 certificates. 

Kira is a native speaker of Polish and is proficient in English and French.
