Aditi Mehrotra is a senior consultant and economist at the Technopolis Group. Her research contributions include thematic areas of critical technologies, space, research funding, business and economy, poverty and social assistance, crime and health.
In UK, she has consulted ministerial departments and government agencies including Department of Science Innovation and Technology, Department of Business and Trade, Home Office, Department of Education Northern Ireland and the British Business Bank. At Technopolis, Aditi is involved in a number of research including estimating the economic impact of UK’s participation in Horizon 2020.
Some of her previous contributions were to the evaluation of Strategic Institutional Research Funding, Diffusion and Adoption of Cheri technology and the scoping of evaluation of Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act. She has led impact and economic assessment components for these studies.
Prior to joining Technopolis, Aditi advised asset investment houses focused on Central Asian economies. She contributed to the estimation of economic impact of real time payments on 30 economies. Aditi also contributed to fieldwork and economic analyses of studies in sub-Saharan Africa, South and South-east Asia, and Montenegro consulting various international donors and government departments.
She is skilled in design and delivery of quasi-experimental and experimental studies, and experienced in cost-benefit and cost-consequence analyses, and UK’s National Audit Office’s 3E value for money assessment. She is also experienced in theory-based mixed-methods research involving stakeholder consultations, case studies, literature and evidence reviews.
She holds a bachelors degree in Economics and completed a master’s degree specialising in Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Aditi is a native English speaker with elementary proficiency in French and Spanish.
