Atreyi Chakrabarty is a Consultant at Technopolis in the Health & Life Sciences team. She has over seven years of life sciences experience across academic research and the healthcare sector. She has developed strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including desk research, interviews, surveys and data analysis, with a particular interest in healthcare systems, life sciences and innovation policy.
Atreyi is currently a team member working on the impact evaluation plan for UKRI and Innovate UK’s Regulatory Science & Innovation Networks Framework. She is also supporting a European Commission study on the availabiity and supply chains of broad-use personal protective equipment, in vitro diagnostics and medical devices relevant for crisis-prepareness, to inform shortage prevention actions.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Atreyi worked at a life science consultancy, Lifescience Dynamics, where she led and managed international projects for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Her work included conducting in-depth analyses of emerging technologies, innovation pipelines, and competitive and market environments to inform strategic decision-making. This involved examining how policy, regulatory and reimbursement systems influence the adoption, diffusion and equitable access to new technologies. She brings a strong understanding of how industry incentives, regulatory systems, and health system priorities interact to shape the development and uptake of healthcare innovations.
Atreyi holds a DPhil in Interdisciplinary Bioscience (Neuroscience) from the University of Oxford and a BA with First Class Honours in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. She is fluent in English, Bengali and Hindi.
