Camilo García Duque is the Deputy Director at Technopolis Group – Bogotá, with over 15 years’ experience leading complex policy and consulting projects in Latin America. He has experience in the design of public policies related to innovation, science and technology, and has worked extensively on strengthening research and development ecosystems, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and promoting inclusive economic development.

Before joining Technopolis, Camilo served as Director of Innovation and Technological Development at Universidad EAFIT, where he led a portfolio of over 200 consulting and R&D projects. He also held advisory roles in Colombia’s Ministry of Science,Technology and Innovation, Bogotá’s Education Secretariat, Ruta N, and the Alexander von Humboldt Institute, contributing to national and regional innovation strategies, science park master plans, and innovation policy reforms. He has worked with clients including the IDB, UNDP, and multiple public institutions across Latin America.

Camilo holds a Master’s in Globalisation and Development Studies from Maastricht University, a Master’s in Political and Economic Analysis from Universidad Externado (Bogotá), a Law degree from Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá)and is currently pursuing a PhD in Technological Innovation Management at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá). He is fluent in Spanish and English, with working knowledge of Portuguese.
