Josep Pinyol Alberich is a Senior Consultant based in Brussels with extensive experience advising public and private clients on EU climate, energy, and environmental policy. He has delivered studies, impact assessments, and evaluations for a wide range of clients, including multiple Directorates-General of the European Commission (notably DG ENV, DG CLIMA, DG ENER, and DG GROW), the EEA, national and regional bodies, industry associations, and multinational companies. His areas of expertise focus mainly on the circular economy, but he also has expertise in climate and energy governance, decarbonisation of industry and buildings, and environmental policy evaluation. He combines strong research and analytical skills with hands-on experience in coordinating tenders and research proposals. Josep holds a Ph.D. in circular economy policy analysis and has published widely in academic journals and for the Publications Office of the EU.
