Modeste is a principal economist at Technopolis France, specialising in the quantitative evaluation of public policies, particularly the causal impacts of financial facilities targeting households and Micro, Small, and Medium sized Enterprises (MSMEs). He has extensive experience conducting causal impact evaluation studies, both in academia and as a consultant for the EU Commission, the World Bank, and the UNDP.

His expertise includes econometric models, quantitative economics, and the leading of economic studies using both microeconomic survey data and macroeconomic data.

Prior to joining Technopolis, Modeste had worked at a Brussels-based consulting firm as a principal consultant focusing on transport economics and environmental issues. He contributed to several strategic studies, particularly on the financing of energy and climate plans, and the socio-economic assessments of transport infrastructure projects. These projects covered road, rail, and river transport in France and Belgium, with a particular emphasis on the monetary valuation of changes in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related to the projects and their integration into socio-economic cost-benefit analyses.

In addition to his work as an economist, Modeste has significant teaching and research experience. He teaches econometrics and data analysis courses.

Modeste Dayé holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Namur, a research master’s degree in economics from the Toulouse School of Economics, and an advanced master’s degree in international economics and development. He is fluent in English and French.
