Monday, July 11, 2022 – 09:00 – 18:30; Tuesday, July 12, 2022 – 14:00
Brussels
Technological disruption, adaptation of new digital technologies and transformation of regional and global value chains has led to a rapid re-focus and demand for new types of knowledge and skills needed for successful and in-time transformation and development of regions and industries.
What does it mean for labor market policies and how to ensure their inclusiveness and strategic orientation? Which skills will be required? What will future labor markets even look like? And what kind of reforms to education and training systems can ease the creation and adoption of such skills?
These are some of the key issues to be addressed by the “European Labor Markets: Mastering Technological and Structural Change” Conference, to be held in Brussels on July 11-12 at the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the EU. The Conference is part of the EU Horizon 2020 Pillars – Pathways to Inclusive Labor Markets project.
Conference will be a two-day event. On 12th July, Technopolis will be chairing two sessions. During the first session we will discuss the EU initiatives that address the impact of automation technology on labor markets. The second session will be devoted to presentation of regional policies and practices on how to build labour market policies that are resilient to technological change.
