Melina Addix is an Analyst in the Green Line at the Brussels office of Technopolis Group, specialising in policy evaluation, impact assessment, and strategic studies on climate, biodiversity, green finance, and sustainable innovation.

She contributes to the delivery of several projects for European, national and regional clients. Recent relevant projects include: the Evaluation Study of the Visibility Requirements of EU Funded or Co-Funded Programmes (DG COMM), where she was responsible for the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and the InvestEU Fund; the Intelligent Cities Challenge 2.0 (EISMEA); the Study on Supporting Innovation in the EU Bioeconomy through IP Protection (DG GROW); the Revision of the Textile Labelling Regulation (DG GROW); Upskilling and Reskilling of the Italian Tourism Sector in Green Transition (DG REFORM); and the Evaluation on the Bottlenecks to reach Policy Objective 2 of the European Green Deal (DG REGIO).

Her role involves the application of a diverse set of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including desk research, data collection and analysis, stakeholder interviews, (legal) literature review, mapping activities, evaluation and monitoring, and case study development.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Melina completed a project internship at Eurosite – the European Land Conservation Network – where she worked on the LIFE ENPLC project, conducting a case study on the development of innovative legal tools for land conservation across EU Member States and beyond. In addition, she worked as a legal intern in two German law firms and was an accounting assistant in the recycling sector.

Melina holds an LL.M. in European Law in a Global Context from the University of Groningen and an LL.B. in Comparative and European Law from the University of Oldenburg.

Throughout her academic career, she focused on environmental law and policies, including interdisciplinary research regarding digital sequence information on genetic resources under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the effectiveness of EU environmental directives in protecting biodiversity from a biological and ecological perspective. She also has expertise on the Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products, EU Internal Market Law, and Competition Policy.

She is fluent in German, English, and Dutch, and has a basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
