Victoria Herbig is a sustainability researcher and policy analyst with expertise at the intersection of climate and environmental policy, science-policy integration, and participatory governance. She combines a rigorous technical foundation in engineering with advanced training in qualitative and quantitative policy analysis methods, including econometrics, mixed-methods approaches, and transdisciplinary integration. Her work consistently bridges empirical research and evidence-based policy-making to support a just and effective socio-ecological transformation.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Victoria worked as a research assistant at the Transdisciplinarity Lab of ETH Zurich, where she i. developed a framework for inclusive stakeholder engagement in participatory modelling for net-zero, sustainable development within the EU Horizon project DIAMOND, and ii. investigated methods in inter- and transdisciplinary meta-research for the Swiss National Science Foundation project INTERSECTIONS. Before that, she completed a research internship at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research focused on machine learning approaches to climate model projections.
Victoria holds a M.Sc. in Science, Technology and Policy from ETH Zurich, and a B.Sc. in Energy and Process Engineering from TU Berlin. She is fluent in German and English.
Recent and current assignments include:
- Development of a data model for analysing the net climate protection benefits of digital technologies, dena.
- Evaluation of the communication and activation campaign ‘80 million together for energy transition’, BfEE.
